St Tropez In Shower Gradual Tan

Sunday, 28 June 2015

sttropez1As an avid fan of sunless-tanning I'm always on the look out for that natural looking glow, which is why I'm always drawn to gradual tans. I love the St Tropez brand, their mousse was the first fake tan I'd ever tried so when I knew the brand new 3-Minute In Shower Gradual Tan was launched I had to give it a go!

Hair Burst - My Journey

Thursday, 25 June 2015

hairburst1I recently had my hair cut fairly short (think Julianne Hough's current bob) and I loved having all of the dead, damaged hair chopped off. It feels a lot healthier already and as much as I like how edgy my messy bob looks, I am already missing having longer hair. That's why I decided to try Hair Burst.

DIY: The Perfect Pamper Night

Monday, 15 June 2015

A weekend with no plans is the perfect time to relax and catch up on some much needed me-time and there's no better way to do that than with a pamper day with homemade DIY treatments!

I rarely have time to indulge in face or hair masks so there's always plenty of homemade treatments to get stuck into when I fancy treating myself. Here are my favourites:

Moisturising Face Mask
I have quite dry skin so I need a face mask that's nourishing and moisturing. My avocado and honey mask does just the trick.

What you'll need:
1/2 really ripe, soft Avocado
85g honey

Method:
Mash the avocado and honey in a bowl and then apply to your face. Leave for 10 minutes and then rinse off with a warm washcloth.

Anxiety Busters

Suffering from anxiety isn't something I blog about regularly, mainly because I like to spend time proactively doing things to beat it, rather than dwell on it.

The last few weeks have been pretty anxiety-inducing for me and I've had good days and bad days, luckily more of the former and less of the latter!

Even if you don't suffer with anxiety, sometimes you can feel like there's too much going on in your head or perhaps you are a worrier. Everyone copes differently but these are some of favourite anxiety busters;

Visit Mallorca

I recently travelled to the Spanish island of Mallorca for a week-long vacay with one of my best friends.

As we've gotten older the choices of holiday activities has drastically changed, with partying coming way down the list this time round and exploring was our priority!

The island is beautiful, tiny but beautiful. It only takes about 2 and a half hours to travel the widest distance across the island so exploring is super easy. We wanted to see more of the besutiful landscapes that the island has to offer, here are my must-visit places around the island of Mallorca.

Chocolate Weetabix Muffins

Sunday, 24 May 2015

The thing I miss most when trying to eat clean and healthy is always cake. I love nothing more than a slice of cake or a muffin with a cup of tea, that's my idea of heaven!

So you can only imagine how thrilled I was when I discovered this Weetabix chocolate muffin recipe! With no flour or butter it's a healthier alternative but still satisfies that craving for cake!

What you'll need (to make 5 muffins) :

2 Weetabix
1 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
2 Tbsp Sweetener
2 eggs
1/2 Muller Light Toffee yoghurt

Method:

Pre-heat the oven to 180c

Use a blender to blend the two Weetabix to a very fine powder.

Add the rest of the ingredients to the blender and blend until the mixture is very smooth.

Pour the mixture into 5 muffin cases/tray and bake for 25 mins

Place on a rack and leave to cool. Finally, top with Nutella and banana!

Peanut Butter Energy Bites - No Baking Required!

Monday, 4 May 2015

I love to snack, especially at work, and these peanut butter energy bites are perfect for on-the-go or even as a pre-gym bite to give you a little boost!

What you'll need:

115g creamy peanut butter
60ml honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
150g old-fashioned oats (raw)
Chocolate chips (as many or few as you like)

Method (10 mins):

Add your peanut butter and oats to a bowl, mix in the honey and vanilla extract, finally adding the choc chips at the end.

Either roll small amounts of the mix into balls like I did or you can spread it across a baking tray lined with baking paper to make energy bars.

Once prepared, place the balls or bars in the fridge and leave to set. I usually make these at night so they set overnight and are good to go in the morning!

3 Ingredient Pancakes - no flour!

Saturday, 2 May 2015

It's Saturday morning which means I have more time to spend on my breakfast (as opposed to weekdays where I wolf down a bowl of porridge in record time) so I like to treat myself and that means pancakes!

I'm still trying to eat as healthily as I can before my summer vacation so these aren't your average pancakes. How, you ask? Well these consist of only three ingredients!
